OUR HISTORY

The NASA Alumni League (NAL) is a nonprofit organization of individuals who support the broad values of the nation’s civil aeronautics and space programs. Initially formed in 1986, the organization has worked to ensure the continuing strength and effectiveness of these programs.   The current Headquarters Chapter is based in Washington DC, and there are two active chapters – one in Houston linked to the Johnson Space Center and the other in Florida linked to the Kennedy Space Center.

The NASA Alumni League Florida Chapter (NALFL) was formed in 1989 and supports activities at the Kennedy Space Center.  NALFL hosts retired NASA colleagues for regular monthly programs and fellowship, supports special programs involving NASA events and visits to Kennedy Space Center, operates a Photo Identification Project, and sponsors scholarship and outreach activities to the communities surrounding the Kennedy Space Center.
