Jonathan Ward – Apollo 11, June Luncheon

Our Speaker for June will be Jonathan Ward, author of “Rocket Ranch” and “Countdown to a Moon Launch”.  We will also honor and commemorate the 50thAnniversary of Apollo 11, and all those who helped to make it happen.

Jonathan Ward is the author of space history books, speaker on space-related topics, and an executive coach at the Center for Creative Leadership.
Ward is the author of Bringing Columbia Home: The Untold Story of a Lost Space Shuttle and Her Crew (With Mike Leinbach. Skyhorse Publishing, January 2018); Countdown to a Moon Launch: Preparing Apollo for Its Historic Journey (Springer-Praxis, July 2015); and Rocket Ranch: The Nuts and Bolts of the Apollo Moon Program at Kennedy Space Center (Springer-Praxis, July 2015)
A native of the Washington, DC area, Jonathan’s career included working for Boeing on the Space Station Freedom Program. In 2011, he moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where he serves as an executive coach on the adjunct staff of the Center for Creative Leadership. Jonathan also volunteers as a Solar System Ambassador, a public outreach program sponsored by JPL. An avid astrophotographer, Jonathan was elected in October as a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society.
